DIEGO YU PIANIST
13-year old Diego Yu was born in Hong Kong and migrated to Australian in 2023. He is currently a Year 9 student at Wesley College, Glen Waverley Campus. Diego is a piano student of Glenn Riddle.
Diego has been invited to make his concerto debut in May, when he will perform Beethoven’s Piano Concerto No 1 in C major with the Dandenong Ranges Symphony Orchestra conducted by Carlos del Cueto. Diego is absolutely thrilled to be making his recital debut here at Austral Salon. He hopes that it will be the first of many.
Diego’s program includes a Haydn Sonata, two Chopin Etudes, Szymanowski’s Don Juan Serenade, and other works by Bach and Liszt.
The AGM will be held at 11.00 am. prior to the recital. Do attend to support the Austral Salon.
Everyone is welcome to join us and celebrate our wonderful musicians on the 4th Monday of the month at St Peter's.
