AUSTRAL SALON RECITAL BY THE STUDENTS FROM THE VICTORIAN COLLEGE OF THE ARTS SECONDARY SCHOOL

Make it a special day and invite a friend to see the wonderfully talented Victorian College of the Arts Secondary School (VCASS) students perform in their home in Southbank. The students’ recital will be preceded by a light brunch.

In the late 1970’s the visionary Lenton Parr, Director of the VCA, saw a need for a secondary school where students of music and dance could develop their talent, irrespective of their socio-economic status.

Parr’s vision resulted in the Victorian College of the Arts Secondary School being established as the secondary school of the Victorian College of the Arts, with the first intake of students in 1978.

Today the school covers Music, Dance, Theatre and Visual Arts, and where the students are able to combine their specialist training needs with a high quality education from Year 7 through to Year 12.
