Born and raised in Sydney, Lydia completed her Bachelor of Music at the Sydney Conservatorium of Music, where she studied with Janet Davies.

Lydia is now in her final year at the Australian National Academy of Music (ANAM) studying with Head of Violin Adam Chalabi. While at ANAM, Lydia has performed with the Australian Chamber Orchestra, Sydney Symphony Orchestra (SSO), Melbourne Symphony Orchestra (MSO), West Australian Symphony Orchestra (WASO), Tasmanian Symphony Orchestra (TSO) and Auckland Philharmonia. She has also led the ANAM orchestra numerous times and worked with renowned artists such as Simone Young, Anthony Marwood, James Crabb, Christoffer Sundqvist and the Brodsky quartet.

Since 2014, Lydia has participated in Australian Youth Orchestra programs, Sydney Youth Orchestra, Ensemble Apex programs, and was concertmaster of The Arts Unit Symphony Orchestra. During her studies, Lydia was invited to perform in masterclasses for Associate Concertmaster of the MET, Laura Hamilton, and ASQ’s first violinist Dale Barltrop. She participated in the Sydney Conservatorium of Music Symphony Orchestra International Tour to the UK and Germany.

When she's not playing classical repertoire, Lydia performs in many musical projects including Arabic, tango, and contemporary chamber music. Some highlights include performing with ‘The Middle East’, GODTET, Rahim AlHaj and partnering with NIDA and SBS Australia.

Lydia is looking forward to moving back to her home state next year as she starts the SSO Fellowship program, as well as the ACO Emerging Artists Program.

Lydia’s program includes a Bach solo violin Partita, Brahms Violin Sonata No.1 and the blues movement of Ravel’s Violin Sonata No. 2
