Alexander is a classical vocalist and composer currently based in Melbourne. As a vocalist and composer Alex is especially interested in the power of the voice in art music and the universal ways that vocal music can be used to tell stories.

Alex currently studies vocal performance and mathematics at the Melbourne Conservatorium of Music, sings with the Australian Chamber Choir and Polyphonic Voices, and continues to compose art song.

He has studied composition under Dr. Anthony Lyons, musical theory with Ms. Jennifer Gillan, and classical voice with Jocelyn Hickey, Timothy Reynolds and Stephen Grant. For composition, he has been awarded the 2017 VCAA Margaret Schofield Memorial Scholarship and MSV David Henkels Award. Alex is supported by scholarships including the Rae Banger Music Bursary and CG McWilliam Bequest.In May 2011, Peter was awarded first prize at the first Australian International Chopin Competition, held at the Australian National University in Canberra.

The New York Times wrote of Elyane “a pianist with a polished technique. . . . dazzling power . . . and an impeccable sense of style.” A graduate of the Juilliard School in New York City, Elyane has delighted audiences on five continents for her imaginative and strongly individual playing.

Elyane is currently undertaking a gargantuan task entitled The Mozart Project, in which she is performing all 27 Mozart piano concertos with Australian orchestras. She enjoys a rich chamber music involvement along with her solo career.
